The Riverhead Project is an environmental protection group which is geared towards cleaning up the river systems in our country. The extreme pollution of our river systems is slowly depleting our water sources. Even worse our river systems are slowly ‘dying‘ and will soon be dead if we don’t do something about it now. The past generation and the present generation did little to protect our water sources. On the contrary, they have done everything to deplete our resources, contaminate them with toxic chemicals from our factories, and render those rivers almost extinct.
The main goal of this project is to raise awareness on the importance of cleaning up our river systems and the significance of our role in the execution of such plan. We need to act now. Time is of the essence. We need to educate the younger generations about water resource conservation and how to sustain life in our rivers to maintain its natural ecosystem.
We are a Non Government Organization whose main concern is the preservation of what’s left of our resources and ensure that future generations will have a viable water supply which could sustain life for them. We hope to inspire others to follow our lead and make it their duty to look out for the rivers in their respective areas. We need all the help we can get in this endeavour.
